My daughter (4) got this for her birthday and I am so impressed, I have got one for my nephew. The pictures are bright and interesting and it is a comprehensive guide to all animals. Lots of good facts are included to make it an interesting read without it being too large to use. It looks to me like it will last for a long while too and help with school wok in years to come.

This was for my daughter's 9th birthday. We didn't get the book in time for her actual birthday but the minute it got to our house she couldn't get her eyes off it. She loves nature and everything that has to do with animals so this book was a big hit. She loves flicking the pages and reading about the animals, checking out the icons that easily tells you the basics like how long this animal lives, where to find it, how big it is etc. Even me and my husband found it interesting to find out the life span of a shark or even an ant. My daughter and her younger brother (he is 6) asks for "Only 10 minutes Mama" every night before bed and sit in her bed together flicking the pages. This book will live a long life. Fantastic purchase.

This is an exclellent book, with plenty of interest in the colour photographs to keep children engrossed for ages. It is a good reference book, well written and printed on good quality paper. While it is written for children it is also a good reference for adults and can be a good source of conversation between adult and child.
