I was only interested in a particular area of Cyprus. It was helpful for the area I stayed in. The history of Cyprus section was interesting, and the practical info was really useful.

Just returned from 2 weeks holiday in Cyprus and was very pleased I had taken this book. Plenty of clear descriptions, photos and drawings make it easy to find the major points of interest when visiting the area. My only recomendation is to combind this book with a good map as the small map printed in the book is not enough to navigate with.

This book is the usual high quality from DK. It gives lot of information about the whole island and interesting pointers to the history of Cyprus.I was staying in Paphos and not travelling around much but bought the book to tell me more about modern Cyprus, having not been to the island for many years. The history section in the book is a bit disappointing and seemed to end several decades ago. Cyprus is continually changing politically and updating this section with the most recent print would have been useful. Other than that, it did give some useful tips and would come into its own if I had been travelling around more. |
