Review: An interesting book but let down in many recipes by the conversions of quantities from (I guess) American. The hash browns on page 16 calls for 1/2lb of potatoes (115g), but 115g is actually 1/4lb. That error is then repeated on the facing page. Page 64, the crab cakes benedict, lists 1/2lb (455g) of crabmeat - that should be 225g. On page 76 one recipe lists '4 cups (950ml/32 fl oz) of milk', while the second recipe on the same page has '3 cups (355ml/12 fl oz) of milk'. So a cup has gone from 8 to 4 fl oz on the same page. Looking through the later stages of the book the obvious errors become much less noticeable, but I will always check carefully before cooking.
