Description: Ivy Lane was originally published as a four-part serial. This is the complete story in one package. From spring to summer, autumn to winter, a lot can happen in a single year. Tilly is in desperate need of a fresh start, ideally with fresh air and a fresh attitude to match. Hidden secrets lurk in her past and moving to a new town seems like the best way to get a much needed second chance. Finally, it feels like fate is on her side. She takes on a plot at Ivy Lane allotments - where she assumes peace and quiet await - but life has different plans. The small community at Ivy Lane is anything but quaint. The members are far from reserved and soon draw Tilly out of her shell, teaching her everything they know about friendship, love and letting go. And with a love interest waiting in the wings, Tilly may find that new love can grow in scorched earth. As the seasons change, can her new friends prove to Tilly that time really is a healer? A charming and romantic story certain to make you smile - perfect for fans of Carole Matthews, Trisha Ashley and Katie Fforde. Review: This has to be the first time I’ve read a book and felt the urge to garden or grow my own veggies … ask my husband ;) What a lovely story! Again Cathy Bramley has written a book that warms you from the inside out. Totally full to the brim with emotion, Tilly is someone that everyone will just love! The story follows Tilly Parker on her journey of making herself whole again, with lots of fun and engaging characters along the way! With lots of little twists and turns along the way to keep you turning that page to see what happens next! With lots of little twists and turns along the way to keep you turning that page to see what happens next! As I have said before in other reviews of Cathy Bramley’s books I love her style of writing and find it so easy to follow. It captures you from the beginning and you’ll surely enjoy the ride! My only criticism is that the main characters seem to fall in love quite quickly. Personally, I like more of a build up or interaction between them but that’s my personal preference!! All in all, definitely a recommended read if you’re a sucker for light hearted romance! NOTE; I read the book as a whole but you can also purchase it in four parts.
