Review: Following on in the series this is just as good as all the others. Katie explores her favourite gallery climbing into the pictures of Monet. At the same time both intelligent and escapist this book gets children interested in famous paintings. The final page has a couple of paragraphs on each picture featured and, more importantly, where the originals are displayed. Children visiting the art gallery actually enjoy the visit when they find the paintings that Katie climbed into. Just don't try lecturing a very bored looking five year old about perspective like I heard a Grandma do at the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square when by comparison my daughter of the same age was wound up more tightly than a coiled spring trying to find the paintings she'd seen in the books.
