Review: A must for providers who need more trauma info

Review: This is perhaps the most frustrating CBT book I've read in a while. I bought it as a companion to my TF-CBT manual because it was an overview of how to modify TF-CBT for various settings. It is 11 chapters that are basically the PRACTICE model restated over and over again with very little concrete suggestions about what to actually do. So it is about 300 pages and about 200 of those are the same idea from the regular manual being restated again and again. There are however two really decent chapters on incorporating play that do make the book worth it.
