Review: I’m sure it’s difficult to make a music-heavy movie and make it into a book but this is a pretty good effort. I think it helps the the trolls are so colorful and fun to look at. The story is fairly abbreviated but you get the idea. Bergen’s are bad and crabby and trolls are happy and music saves the day. I wouldn’t say this is an interesting or funny book. It really just is for accompanying the movie. However, my young girls like and have read the book several times without having seen the movie. They obviously enjoy the pictures and the story without having a previous attachment to trolls. I gave this four stars because there isn’t anything I can say negative about the book, it just isn’t my favorite picture book, as I prefer funny stories. The length of this book is a normal golden book style of about 5 minutes. See my photos for examples on the illustration and text.
