Review: The conclusion to the moontide quartet was everything I hoped for and more. For anyone who loves epic fantasy I have to say this is up there with the best and I have read a ton of fantasy series. I won't say too much as if you are reading this review you have probably read the first three instalments and it is inevitable you will be reading this one so I will just say enjoy and hope you liked it as much as me.

Review: This review is definitely not for David Hair's Ascendant's Rite. After reading the 1st three books in The Moontide Quartet, I see no way David can do anything but excel in this book as well. No, my complaint is with Amazon UK. As a book collector I won't be reading this book. As with all of my books, I wait for the Kindle edition to become available. Though it is available in the UK, it probably won't be available in the U.S. for another year. Thus, this book goes straight to the bookshelf. Unfortunately, the copy I received is in abysmal condition. The dust cover not only has a tear, but the edges top and bottom are rubbed and wrinkled. The top and bottom edges of the spine are creased. As this was the only site where I could find a 1st/1st available I paid almost double what I would have paid to any US book supplier. Shame on you Amazon. I would think you would take more pride and make more of an effort to see that items mailed to your customers arrived in pristine condition. I am extremely disappointed. Again, this review is in no way a reflection on David Hair or this book. I think that he is one of the most prolific writers of this generation. If you haven't read any of his books, you're in for a real treat when you do.
