Review: I was asked by Amazon to review three books (Border Trilogy) that I haven’t read in years but since I often find myself thinking of random situations, paragraphs or quotes from Cormac McCarthy’s writing’s I will make a few comments. I found the literature written similar to Twain’s Huckleberry Finn, ie, not grammatically correct but all on purpose from the storyteller’s eye. Very deep, dark mostly but lighter moments come and go. Not for everyone. To me, reading these books is like listening to the Grateful Dead for extended periods of time & finally just wanting to listen to Top 40. You have to be in the mood & then your hooked. A real writer, like a poet. If you don’t like it @ 20 yrs old try again @ 30. I will read again now just cuz it came up. -MM
