Review: I bought this for my 3 year old who knows most of her letters and is now associating sounds with them. I thought a small ladybird book would be ideal for carrying around. however the choice of illustrations for some of the letters seems a bit daft and has confused my daughter e.g. L - picture is lamb but could easily be a sheep so she says L for sheep. why didn't they pick lion or lemon or ladybird? similarly d is for dinosaur but the cartoon picture is half way between a diplodocus and a stegasaurus but also be a lizard or a host of other creatures - why didn't they pick a dog? v is for van -the picture is of a non-descript vehicle so could easily say car. g is for gorilla - picture could be any type of ape , note m is for monkey, couldn't they have picked g is for giraffe or girl or grapes? j is for jigsaw - picture shows a jigsaw puzzle with a picture of a penguin so my daughter said j is for penguin and the j is for puzzle. she never came up with jigsaw. n is for numbers.....with a picture of 1,2,3 - confusing why not select n is for there are much better ones out there - eric carle is good but a couple are a bit esoteric as all animals.
