Review: My 7 year old son found an old copy of a Franklin Book left over from his much older siblings. I never would have thought of purchasing this series for him because he reads chapter books very well, but since reading one he Has begged for more. We are now slowly acquiring the whole series. Franklin is an average turtle who has challenges but basically wants to do the right thing. Someone else wrote a negative review about Franklin not having harsh enough consequences about fibbing. I guess it depends on your parenting style. I did think that maybe it could have been made clearer that lying is wrong, but in the end Franklin does the right thing. I don’t think he needed to suffer any dire consequences to scare kids out of lying.
