Review: I've had quite a few different study and revision guides for my kids, my eldest wanted mock exam questions so I printed some out for her, but later on I used this book and it was much better. This book is perfect for your child to understand what level they are working at and which areas they need to work on, not only does it help them to focus on those areas - but it helps them to. The exam questions have tips to help your child understand the 'rules' and the approach required. Often kids don't know they know the answer - and this book helps them build confidence by guiding them to know which mathematical rules to use for questions. There is plenty of space for notes and working out too. In a nutshell: This book will not only help your child revise, but will hopefully enable them to feel more confident about exams if it's something they get anxious about as it explains the exam paper in addition (no pun intended) to helping with their maths.

Review: With so few actual practice questions matching the new GCSE Mathematics 9-1 syllabus around, any book that offers the opportunity to have another try at every topic area, including those tricky and more challenging parts of the course, has got to be a good thing! Of particular note, is that every question is not only given a star rating according to the level of difficulty but also has the number of marks available to help students target their response. There are answers at the back of the book, to check if you have got the correct answer. A set of full mock-exam papers at the end, complete, with answers, in itself, is an invaluable resource. Although this book is definitely worth purchasing, the one gripe I have is that it would have been immensely helpful if there were fully worked solutions to all the questions, rather than just the answers. This revision book is aimed for students who find Mathematics GCSE challenging, so where do they go if they are unable to get out the correct answer? Just having an answer in the back is not always enough………
