Review: I've just finished this book and have read the full series in a week! Its very hard to find a series where the books dont become a habit in the format in the way of a boom boom bang bang and the end, this series is a little predictable but it is undeniable that they are a very good read and totally enthralled me throughout. Each of the characters are very different however and if you like an often tough "damsel in distress" and a Bad Ass Alpha in charge then you will enjoy this series as much as I did. I'm not going to write a whole synopsis as I think it can spoil things for new readers, I also cant pick a favourite although Reed (Whisper no Lies) really made me laugh with his one line quipps. The plots are well written and arent lost amongst the whole graphic sex scenes that some other writers use, you are left with a very good visual but also have to use your imagination! The attention to detail allows you to get a real feel for each scene and also is very informative about Special Ops in general. They are definately on a parr with Maya Banks' KGI series. Enjoy!!!

Review: Okay so, if like me you're a huge Cindy Gerard fan and have followed this series you will have been eagerly anticipating this last book featuring Joe and Stephanie. The book started off great, you really got a sense of the emotion between the characters and in particular, the heartbreaking moment when things unwillingly end for the couple. We know from the synopsis that Joe gets falsely imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit, so that's no huge surprise. I loved the way Cindy captured just how horrific it must have been for the character. All this happens at the very beginning. What well and truly disappointed me with this book (and it's so unlike Gerard to do so), is the way basically nothing happened throughout the whole book. Whereas in her previous stories, there was tons of romantic scenes, lots of action and the stories jumped from one location to another, this book didn't have any of those things after the first few chapters. Roughly around 70% of the book comprised of Joe recovering from his ordeal, with very few interesting or emotional scenes between the two lead characters and many what I call 'useless chapters'. Basically, I really struggling to finish this book and about the only best bit from the book was the epilogue in which we saw the traditional final scene in the Thompkin's household with all previous couples and their offspring. It was a lovely moment, great way to end the book, just a big shame about the remainder of the book itself. However, just because I'm a huge fan I'll give it 3, otherwise I'd be giving it maybe 1 or 2 stars. Sorry Cindy! :)
