Review: I used to think I was unlucky in love. After many disillusions, it transpired I was picky in love. And my picker was off point. I read Lori Gottlieb's 2008 article in The Atlantic and loved it so much that I later bought the book. It was well worth my money. Her advice is not PC.But I've seen myself made some dumb mistakes, and I'm so glad someone pointed them out to me. I am now married to a wonderful man who loves me. I will never grace the cover of any magazine but the adoration of one man is enough. She mentions Evan Mark Katz at some point, whose column I used to read. She has interviewed many experts. Her tone is never pedantic- the science of it all is never boring. It's like watching these sitcoms we all love. Most of us have grown up watching tv shows (friends) and expecting life to be that exciting. If u keep being unlucky in live, Ms Gottlieb is your fairy godmother.
