Review: I have resisted buying this book for ages because of the expense but, in a weak moment, I treated myself. I am a big fan of Martha Stewart's practical approach to just about anything. I wish that I hadn't waited so long. This is a very useful book. The sort of manual that you buy once and refer to over a period of years whenever you are stumped about how to deal with something. It is like having your granny on the bookshelf or a modern-day enquire within. I would highly recommend this book and think it is brilliant value for money.

Review: I am a bit of a cleaning geek and am always writing my own lists and cleaning regimes so I was really excited to receive this book especially after what other reviewers had said.Gosh what a disappointment it was! There were so many common sense things in this book that it was laughable. For example-if you have a broken tile get a professional in to fix it!I mean come on!There were a lot of lists of different things and what they do for example different kinds if cookers ie gas, electric, range which is totally useless because unless you have just ventured out on your own then you will already have a cooker and who really doesnt know the difference between these? The stuff like this was spread across several pages to bulk out the book.I was hoping for comprehensive pages on how to clean my cooker that Ive already got thankyou! There were a few cleaning lists at the start, but the rest of the book was just padded out with completely useless information.Full double page spreads with pictures of different types of cutlery?Really?I have now sent this book back.Buy 'clean and organised in 30 days' instead. This is very cheap, very useful and makes you get off your backside and do something!
