Review: This is a clever and attractive comic. The plot concerns the potentially apocalyptic return of King Arthur and the attempts by a rather endearing hulk of a man and his elderly homicidal Irish granny, an ex-vampire hunter to stop it. It is also a meditation on the mutability of stories an idea which has become very popular in comics of late and an exploration of the theme of Larkin's poem 'This be the verse'. The text is clever and contains some intriguing observations. Unfortunately granny is not very believable. The art, particularly the drawing of the characters is excellent. With all this going for it I never managed to engage with story and I don't quite know why. For this reasons I award only 3 stars.
