Review: I really enjoyed this story. It follows the relationship between Duke Spencer and Amelia. The characters have lots of issues about horses, gambling, family issues and love. The settings change frequently and keep the reader interested. Amelia is keen to help her brother, Spencer is determined to let Amelia see that he has to stand on his own two feet. Will he be able to persuade Amelia and let their love develop? Read on and enjoy.

Review: Lady Amelia d’Orsay is having a difficult time trying to keep her brother Jack from ruining himself but is determined to help him and draw him back into the family fold. Planning a get-away to their old family home, Amelia is shocked to learn Jack owes a considerable sum to Spencer Dumarque, the Duke of Morland. Aghast and the trip is no longer possible, determined to correct things Amelia takes matters into her own hands and corners the so-called Duke of Midnight for one of his Midnight dances, what she doesn't count on is the unexpected turn the night would take, one that leads to her saying I do with a man she barely knows. During the course of denying his feelings for Amelia and trying to maintain a distance, Spencer is at times quite an ass, abrupt it's no surprise that Amelia at times takes his words as criticisms. That being said there were also moments that had me smiling and at times the byplay between Spencer and Amelia was rather entertaining. Despite myself I did overall enjoy this book and can see myself re-reading this at some point even if it's not as prolifically as other Tessa Dare books. At times the angst that manifested felt unnecessary.
