Review: If you've read the first Save The Cat! The Last Book on Screenwriting You'll Ever Need, Then this book is just the tonic for readers hungry for more. Some say it's better than the first book but I disagree, (The Jury's out on that one). The method explained in in this tome is almost the same as many other books on writing screenplays but where stands out more than most is you see that Blake Snyder's enthusiasm for the subject can be infectious. Whats more this is not just a book for Budding screenwriters, you can even use the 'Save The Cat' method for writing Blogs to Novels or even Letters for your Local Town Magazine cum e-zine. Whereas this is a moviecentric guide, I thoroughly recommend the first 2 of Blake Snyder's books to those curious about writing absolutely anything they want to have read by others. Also Scribes with writers block could even benefit, in their case they could, as Eric Morecambe once said, 'Have all the Right Notes, but not necessarily in the Right Order’.

Review: Got an idea but you haven't got a story? Blake Snyder will fix that. Just follow the cut-out-and-keep plot points and you'll have a film that gets reviews as good as Legally Blond. He wrote that too. It got the worst reviews in film history. His Dad was in the movies and ...oh. Ok. That's how. A clear exposition on why modern films are almost exactly the same, just with different actors and clothes.
