Review: Pratchett's other collaborations haven't been funny. Good Omens, for example....dull story, dull writing, mostly thanks to the talentless co-writer (in fact entirely due to him). The Long Earth series, again...funny-ish but then the superbly talented co-writer was careful not to think himself "funny", just lightly amusing (those are worth reading!). And here...well, you really need to buy and read for yourself, there's a depth to the narrative Pratchett wouldn't have achieved by himself, and his very unique, easy to read but hard to emulate humour abounds. The co-writers contribute a form of scientific treatise that is both amusing and informative, closely pacing Pratchett's set-piece comedy sketches and loveable daft musings. You'll chuckle out loud at the Pratchett story and smile with appreciation at how clearly, plainly and humourously the treatise sections have been laid down. This isn't just a cash-in, it's a Laugh-In.

Review: Skipped most of the chapters. Should not have Terry Pratchetts name on the book.
