Review: Chris Colfer is definitely becoming a writer who is capturing my heart with each book. I've been someone who has been waiting for the film for a long time so when I found out about the book I couldn't wait. It was hard to put this book down I literally had to force myself to close it at 3am so I could actually get some sleep. The writing is brilliant and witty and had me covering my mouth while laughing so I wouldn't wake anyone up. This is the kind of humour I associate with (very sarcastic) it even got one of my friends, who doesnt read much, to read it in a few hours. The power of a Chris Colfer book is a wonderful thing.

Review: I am one of Chris Colfer's biggest fans when it comes to acting but I'm afraid I have to admit, his recent literature has been average at best. This book is written in the style of a dairy which I found relatively easy to get into, but - at some points - made the plot feel a little disjointed. Overall, I found I was sucked into the story line and began to empathize with Carson and his struggle. However; I feel the style of writing did not give it justice and could have been more in depth and detailed. All in all it is a good read, and is in fact on my favorites shelf but just don't expect an amazing work of literature.
