Review: Good book for kids

Review: It's nicely written, with clear language for older children to read on their own. Some research has gone into the making of this book, like the weapons and "Viking", or Norse, life. The novel is a good length for children, and has a solid plot. However, one element which jolts me is the inaccuracy regarding genetics. The protagnosit has dark brown eyes, and many other characters have black hair. This, of course, would not have been possible in North Western Europe during the time this book is set. Unfortunately, it prevents me from becoming immersed in the book as historical accuracy is imperative, especially when writing for children.
