Review: Right from the first moment it's just been brilliant - one of those books that is actually exciting to read, just because it is so damn good! Packed with beautiful pictures and informative text, where the author's love and enthusiasm shines out of it, generous, encouraging and full of ideas. I absolutely love plants and gardens, but I've never had the opportunity to have my own garden till now. So I have lots of ideas about what i like, but absolutely no idea how to create a garden from nothing, and this book is honestly one of the most lovely of reads, and has given me loads of ideas and practical instruction presented in a very accessible way, which unlike others i have read are genuinely 'do-able' in a small English garden. In my opinion it's a classic. I can't imagine how anyone would ever be disappointed, it's an investment!

Review: Wasn't quite what I wanted. I wanted more contemporary gardens and landscaping. So I'm giving it to a client instead as a present to increase their plant knowledge! This is a plant book and IMHO not a book showing off contemporary gardens. Bit misleading on the cover.
