Review: Lots lots and lots of great ideas in this giant book of lessons plans. Its the first place I go to when looking for ideas.

Review: I have used this book for the preschool I worked at, and believe it holds some good gems in here, though I feel as it is a collection of ideas from so many varied sources that it fails to have a good consistent flow through out. Thus the 4 stars. But if you are struggling for ideas to use for your day care center, or even for home schooling then this book is full enough to give you the guides you need to complete a day's lesson. But that being said, use this as a reference for your lesson plan, don't make it your lesson plan. Every teacher must plan well ahead of time to take in the needs of the students in your class, as they are unique to your class, and different for every school. I saw some teachers grab this book 5 minutes before the day started and try to use it for a whole days activities. Of course they failed and the kids did not enjoy the day because the teachers did not do their job of preparing ahead of time. So if you are a lazy teacher who never prepares then you are most likely not going to enjoy this book nor it's contents, but if you are a passionate teacher with a need for ideas in planing a lesson, then you are going to love this book in it's entirety. I commend the publishers and contributors of the resource for the time and effort they and Kathy put in towards writing a good reference. I will definitely buy their other books as needed.
