Review: I loved this book, Trisha Ashley, the story is a romance but one which gently weaves its way through an engaging and heartwarming story.

Review: At 32% of the book it feels like the story hasn't started yet. Plenty of long descriptive bits of cracker making and the cat, and the oldies staying at the farm, and the interior of the house, but not a single moment of romance or fun or chuckles yet. The heroine is a bit of a doormat. Her best friend is married to an abusive psycho, which is mentioned quite a lot but it's not being dealt with as the serious topic it is. The future romantic interest is currently engaged to a woman he admits is not interested in him, yet he wants to marry her...I got bored with it and shall take a break, sorry. I'll give it another try later. Update: I soldiered on. Christmas is covered in the last few chapters. Romance- one kiss and an "I love you" happens at around 98%, no events to lead up to this whatsoever, the love interest is hardly ever present and when he is, he's just being morose, making accusations or barking orders. The whole book reads like a strings of postcards sent by teenagers from summer camp: we had X for dinner, he said this, we went there, weather was so and so. The writing style is quite immature. Changed my rating to 1 star.
