Review: Having become increasingly frustrated by the fact that my 11 year old daughter showed no interest in reading, I read the reviews for this book and decided to give it a try. I fully expected it to join the steadily growing pile of unread books but to my amazement she picked it up and read it cover to cover within three days. She adored having Enid Blyton's Secret Seven and Famous Five stories read to her when she was younger and is thrilled to have found something written in a similar style. We have now bought several more in the series and she has she has enjoyed each one just as much (it doesn't seem to matter which order you read them in). She loves the fact that the characters have the sort of exciting adventures she wishes she could have. She describes the stories as exciting and full of suspense which keeps her wanting to turn the page to find out what will happen and she likes the modern references. Well done Helen Moss!

Review: I read this in order to check it out - I'm a forty-something single male but I have nieces, nephews, children of friends who I like to buy books. I'd heard 'buzz' about Ms Moss's book series but needed to see for myself. Well, I loved it! Ms. Moss IS an Enid Blyton for the 21st century. A well-told, exciting story (with plenty of 'cliff-hangers'), a clever 'denouement' and containing believable contemporary kids. I will happily buy Ms Moss's books for the youngsters in my life and will quite probably download some for my own pleasure!
