Review: My partner went on a cookery day with Norman Musa and thoroughly enjoyed it. Subsequently she bought the book and used it for seveal meals. I thought it was good, too, and bought a few for my family for Christmas presents. It's well laid out, illustrated, clear and informative. If you're interested in trying Malaysian food, then give this one a go!

Review: On balance I like this book, but there are some errors in the method for some of the recipes. I've only tried 2 things, the beef in soy sauce stew needs to be cooked for much longer than the 30 minutes suggested, with topside I'd go for 2 hours. But it was delicious cooking it this way. The other thing I tried were the curry puffs, but putting the onion into the water that the potatoes have been stewing in, even if nearly dried out isn't going to cook the onions sufficiently, I cooked them separately before adding them to the mix. Good book but common sense needed when trying things out.
