Description: Angel is impulsive. Disguising her savant ability to control water doesn't come easily to her. Then she meets the broodingly handsome Marcus at a music festival where they're both performing, and finds herself all at sea. For when he sings, her soul answers with its own music. Like the tide, their mutual attraction cannot be held back, but Marcus's mistrust of Angel's gift is even stronger. How can they ever be together if Marcus is unable to accept who Angel is or what they could mean to each other? And with the net closing in on the Savant community it's time for everyone to choose a side. A stunning new novel from the best-selling author of the Savants series: Finding Sky, Stealing Phoenix, Seeking Crystal and Misty Falls. Review: If you're reading this review then you may have already read the other 4 books in this beautiful series. If not then go back to finding sky and read them all. I can happily say that they are the best books I have ever read (and I read a lot of books) and this was no exception and I can say that I am truly jealous of all the savants out there because I have always wanted to be one since I read stealing Phoenix ( I read them the wrong way around) hope you enjoy these books as much as I do. Emily Farrar a big fan of these books

Review: To start with, this particular entry is the weakest one of the series. So the Benedict brothers are no longer a thing but sort of have a few words in this. Ok. Why? Well for some reason the author has decided to focus on the children. Why? I haven't the faintest idea and the person the author chose to start with is Angel. The most annoying, obnoxious, unrelatable character I have ever had the misfortune of reading about. The way she treats the people around her and Marcus is quite infuriating especially when she tries to convince him she isn't insane (the jury is still debating that one) and that they are soulmates. Naturally he doesn't take too this kindly and tries to get as far away from her as possible but her constant stupidity and lack of common sense renders her unable to leave well enough alone or to approach the situation from a different angle so she continues to pester the poor guy with her idiocy. What really grinds my gears is the fact that the author had a few other Benedict brothers to write about but in this book just hand waves away the fact that they've found their partners. How? Why? What made Angel so important that her vapidity kicked their stories to the curb? The worst part is that this story just spends it's time spinning it's wheels without actually going anywhere. The connection between the two love interests feels forced and out of place which only serves to bog down the narrative or what is trying to pass as one. Her friends are far more interesting than she is which never speaks well of the MC in any respect when that happens. Angel is one of those people who doesn't listen, ignores warnings and just goes off and does whatever floats into her head even at the cost of others safety. I just don't understand why this character was chosen above all others. Especially when we've had stronger personalities in the past. If the idea was to go with a softer personality this was not the way to do it, especially when Angel acts heedlessly of the dangers around her and fails to introduce Marcus slowly to her world and her abilities as well as the dangers associated with it. I tried to like this book, but I just couldn't get past Angel's character. Just when I started to get into a scene, there she was ruining everything. Hopefully the next entry will be more interesting than this one.
