Description: Long ago, the evil God Torak fought a war to obtain an object of immense power - the Orb of Aldur. But Torak was defeated and the Orb reclaimed by Belgarath the sorcerer. Garion, a young farm lad, loves the story when he first hears it from the old storyteller. But it has nothing to do with him. Or does it? For the stories also tell of a prophecy that must be fulfilled - a destiny handed down through the generations. And Torak is stirring again. Review: It's an amazing series, I don't think I've read a book with such likeable characters and an intriguing plot. Garion is a bit bland but he starts to grow on you. Polgara, Belgarath and Silk are easily the best characters in the series. I never missed a day of reading and finished all 5 books in under a month.

Review: Rather than arrive in a box as you might expect from a set, the three books arrived roughly bound together in tape, tightly enough to leave imprints. The back of the book on the end has white scratch marks all over it, the front of the book at the front of the pile has scratch marks on its cover. Corners of the covers are bent, and some of the covers are splitting at the bottom.
