Description: The Bluecoats is a humorous comic-book series starring Sergeant Chesterfield and Corporal Blutch, soldiers in the Union army during the Civil War. Our two heroes are captured by the Confederates and taken to Robertsonville prison camp, from which Blutch and the Sergeant try to escape five times. The camp commandant despairs, and Chesterfield and Blutch make a final attempt. Robertsonville Prison was inspired by the Andersonville prison camp situated in Georgia, which operated from mid-1863 to mid-1864. Review: Got a set of 3 of these for a C’mas present for my 14 year old son who is an avid reader but also likes comics. Had not really heard of these but the American civil war them is handy for the American History part of th3 GCSE course he is studying. The story them makes a nice change from the supernatural themed comics that seem to be in fashion; he likes the Archie comics and formerly the Aestrix and TinTin themed ones.

Review: I purchased this comic for my kids and saddly the kindle format is not at all suited for this novel... I wanted to read it on my tablet (surface) and Impossible to adapt the picture to the size of the screen.... This is not the book the problem (I wanted to read it to my kids as I use to read it when young...) I do read comics on other format and I never have any problems (.cbr, . cbz and even pdf...) conclusion - i will never buy comics for kindle..
