Review: This was a gift for a newly turned 7 year old. The response was "epic!" and it's been put to good use straight away. It's what you expect from Usborne - great presentation, quality cover and attractive, child friendly illustrations. There are instructions and suggestions for different aspects of story writing (character development, plot, etc) and space for the child to write. My only criticism is that, for the target age group, the writing space is quite small, considering at that age, their writing tends to be quite big and messy!
