Review: I couldn't think of a better way to kick off my book review journey on instagram than one of my favourite reads of the year. this book was my introduction to the yummy world of M/M books, and what an introduction it was. Him - Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy Us - Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy This series has everything i never knew i needed in my life. Best friends - lovers Bi awakening Hockey romance What more could i ask for?? How about understanding and accepting family (for one of the MCs but adapting to the other as their own! A bunch of accepting teammates? Hilarious neighbour who appears at the most inconvientant times? Spice level 4 that does nothing to distract from the love and the swoonworthy characters? Why yes, this book has it all!!!!!! 10/10 read for me and one i will always go back to as a comfort read. Bonus - The audio for this series is also fantastic!! Review: Selling this (literally and figuratively) as a novella is a bit rich when it's very much the short story they more honestly describe it as on the back cover. That said, it's a fun coda to the story of Wes and Jamie - I'm just wondering whether that's what it is, or more of a placeholder until a third full-length novel comes along, in which case it probably could have waited and been included in that. But then I'm only reading these stories now, not when they were released, so there's been no time for me to miss the characters and grab anything on offer to fill the void.
