Review: This is a great revision resource. Like most of the books out there, it is clear and engaging, making revision a little more tolerable. It is also up to date with the exam board's requirements, reinforcing the nature, look and feel of the questions you will encounter.

Review: This book breaks down the syllabus into topic areas and covers the new specification in its entirety. Not only does it provide worked examples, but it has a few ‘check-it’ questions at the end of every sub topic. As any Mathematics teacher knows, it is not enough for students to glance at their work to revise; students have to actually do sums to reinforce taught concepts. This book enables students to do just that. The ‘Review It!’ questions at the end of every topic are a very good source of extra practice questions. All questions have answers at the back of the book, although disappointingly perhaps, they are just that: answers and not worked solutions. As a revision book, worked solutions would have been far more helpful for students who find Mathematics challenging. Additionally, although it sounds a bit superficial, the colours used in the book are a bit dull. Using brighter visuals would have stimulated student interest more. For me, although the book is a reasonable resource, there are better Foundation Level Maths resources on the market.
