Review: It started out strong and bold. And it was shocking after all those women failed. But then, when it came to challenging Goblin slayer, the author failed. And failed badly. There should have been more explicit scenes like the one in volume 1, but then the author just kept letting Goblin slayer get away with more and more mistakes. And when an antagonist, a real antagonist, finally shows up, the author treats him like an insignificant villain. Rather than pushing the story beyond its poor limits of "Goblins attack, Goblin slayer kills", the author just infantilizes the dark elf villain in the story, almost like something out of a Sentai force episode. The story has NO VILLAIN. Therefore, Goblin slayer has no real purpose to hunt goblins, other than just because they hurt his family. It makes for a boring story after a while. Heroes are just as much defined by their villains. And if the villain is poor, then, no matter how awesome the hero is, he'll just come across as superman beating up a child with a kitchen knife. Nobody wants to watch that. The author can't write and the illustrator can't draw feet. Who hired that guy? I assumed that this story would go places few others would go to, but then the author turned coward. This manga sucks.
