Review: I haven't read this myself, however my 11 yr old daughter loves it and has read it twice. As many will know it isn't always easy to engage the younger reader, especially if they are lacking a little confidence in their own ability. With the Hamish story my little one was captivated and loved it. She is really picky over what she is prepared to stick with till the end, very often she will prefer me to read to her. So I am constantly looking for books that she will enjoy and this one fit the bill perfectly. I have read a few Danny Wallace books myself and loved them so, when I spotted he is now writing children's books I was happy to give them ago and I am glad I have, as although I haven't read it myself it has got my daughter enjoying her reading again
