Review: Lovely book-caricature drawings, easily recognisable to the characters & true to original storyline of film. Very happy 6 year old boy!

Review: This sequel storybook once again cuts the McCallisters in half by excising Uncle Frank's side of the family but avoids the magic wish element by having Kevin travel to New York by accident, as in the movie. The lovely art is very accurate to the movie, but the condensed plot does feel a little rushed this time as Home Alone 2 was a longer movie. Kevin's final assault on the Wet/Sticky Bandits is also completely different, possibly because the movie was rather violent in this regard, and the house Kevin boobytraps is no longer his Uncle Rob's, just an abandoned house that isn't even very detailed in the art as it rushes through this part. A nice bedtime storybook for well-behaved kids, and a novelty gift for adults, but it should have been a smidgen longer and the changes to the traps will likely annoy fans.
