Bohemian free-thinkers and iconoclasts, Anne Berest, Caroline De Maigret, Audrey Diwan and Sophie Mas cut through the myths in this gorgeous, witty guide to Parisienne savoir faire. These modern Parisiennes say what you don't expect to hear, just the way you want to hear it. They are not against smoking in bed, and are all for art, politics and culture, making everything look easy, and going against the grain. They will take you on a first date, to a party and through a hangover. They will tell you how to be mysterious and sensual, make your boyfriend jealous, the right way to approach weddings and the gym, and they will share their address book in Paris for where to go at the end of the night, for a birthday, for a smart date, for vintage finds and much more. Full of wit and self-deprecating humour, and full of life lessons, photographs and personal anecdotes, How To Be Parisian explains those confusing subjects of clothes, makeup, men, culture and lifestyle as only a true Parisienne can.

Review: Really bad! I've read a lot of Parisienne how to books this being the worst! No content! You start getting into a paragraph on a topic and it's over before actually getting to any point! I usually love books like this but this one is so disappointing i can't even explain! And of course it's had good / decent press because of WHO the books written by! Any cool points or ideas of a Parisienne have been blurred out by this book! They've managed to make the Parisienne woman normal and dull though missing out so much basic information and skimming on subjects You can fly though this book easily in an afternoon. I feel like I've read a book that's blurred all the ideas of the Parisienne woman I had in my head. If our looking for a similar but good book check out "french women never sleep alone" and perhaps the authors of this book should have also.... The contents are kind of shameful..... Don't buy this do yourself a favour and look at a copy in a shop before your disappointed!
