Review: A fascinating story about a very good writer with a quite incredibly troubled life. Beautifully read by Diana Quick. I can't imagine anyone giving a better reading of the work. Superb.

Review: This is the a review of the Audio Book. Diane Quick is a fine reader of a very good biography. It’s not essential to read Rhys’ work but you should. I wouldn’t say it’s a pleasure as it can be quite depressing but nevertheless if you care about literature you should. I have docked one star which is no reflection on the book it’s just that Ms Quick when imitating Rhys’ voice sounds a bit Irish. I’m sorry Diane. You have done a brilliant job but Rhys came from Anglo/Welsh/Caribbean descent which must be an impossible accent.
