Review: The weather book is good. The science one is not, first you can find out most things in the natural world that is practical for survival, advocating lab experiments at this age is lacking the fun of the teachings of the natural world like woods etc. My main issue with this book is it's lack of ethics and morality, it advocates putting dye in flowers for aesthetic purposes. This has been found out by the good scientists that have code of practice that artificial coloring in food plants sweets etc and flowers is linked to hyper activity and cancer. Also causing death and mutation to insects. Not what we should be teaching the next generation. I won't be supporting this author again till they update their information that a carrot didn't used to be orange. There is a natural order in nature. They also left out the cruel treatment of animals. So no don't buy this misinformed no morals poor excuse for science for your children take them to woodland etc instead it's the best class room and helps what the scientist of the last erras didn't get, respect for nature and natural order. I'd give it a 0 if I could.
