Review: Honestly the most helpful book ever, I’m going travelling in September on my own for the first time and being so young having this book full of tips and what to bring etc has really been helpful and it includes things I wouldn’t even think about such as when is best to book hostels giving you good websites and all sorts. Would really really recommend this book for anyone going on their first travel!

Review: The book is very well presented with beautiful photography and nice graphics, and it contains useful tips if you have no or little solo travel experience. However, the amount of real "down to earth" information is fairly limited once you really look at it, and spread out in a way that in my opinion is not well organized (luckily there is a recap of the resources mentioned during the book at the end). Also, if you are a relatively experienced traveler (solo or otherwise) you'll know most of the stuff you can find in this book. I would say calling it a "handbook" is stretching it a bit.
