Review: This book has the following sections: - Writing practice of numbers 0-9 - Counting and writing down numbers - Counting in 2s, 10s, 3s, 4s and 5s - Odd and even numbers - Reading numbers (dot to dot activity using numbers and then another using the words ie one two instead of 1 2) - Tens and units (e.g. 3 lots of 10 plus 6 units = 36 units altogether) - Comparing (more or less) both numbers and coins - Doubles - Ten more or ten less (6 + 10 = 16, 26 - 10 = 16) - Ordinals (1st 2nd etc) and ordering I especially like this book for the detailed guidance notes for parents. I think this is what Carol Vorderman's books have their strengths. Much less practice than in the Collins books but being able to give tips to your child is just wonderful as we can always make up extra practices of our own.
