Review: I am having fun with my microwave and using it so much more now that I have this book. The recipes I have tried so far have all worked well, and I am slightly adapting the times because my microwave is a lower wattage. Even so the recipes work and are fun to do. I am finding that I must think ahead to how I will use up the leftovers after I have taken small quantities from whole cans of various ingredients, and that you will need a well supplied pantry of various spices, pulses etc. There is a list of items to store there and keep in your fridge in the front of the book. So far I have tried cauliflower cheese, breakfast muffin, sweet and sour chicken, Beef cobbler, sweet potato and chickpea tagine with the fruity couscous, chicken stew with herby dumplings. They were very tasty and I found the portion sizes just right. I use a Sistema noodle bowl and a Sistema mug to cook in and these work well. They come supplied with a lid with a steam vent and save fiddling with cling film which I always mess up. I am so glad that I bought this book and sincerely recommend it.

Review: This is another of those so called "simple" cookery books. OK so the methodology is simple enough though I'd replace the large mug with an item from the "Systema" microwave range. Large mugs can get pretty hot and filled with hot liquid are quite dangerous. The real problem with the book is revealed in the opening pages. You need not only a mug and a microwave but literally dozens of ingredients .Even if you can find a dozen of them in your average kitchen you are going to have to go shopping with a couple of large shopping bags to a large supermarket. That said I'll admit there are some interesting recipes herein I just might give a try. But why can't simple cookery books be simple? I'm still hoping to find one but this certainly isn't it.
