Review: I went into this one unsure. While the first book was okay, it just didn't pull me in. The lead MC, Lucian, just didn't do much for me. I kinda liked Dev's character and wanted to read more about him. Gabe seemed a little weird and didn't catch my eye anywhere near as much. So, Moonlight Seduction is Gabe's story. And boy, what a story it is. This book redeemed the series for me (okay okay, I know it's only the second book, but still, if I'd felt the same I wouldn't have bothered with the third when it comes out). I really enjoyed the dynamic between Gabe and Nikki, the way Jennifer brought them together. Neither were perfect (there's nothing worse than two perfect characters in a book). Gabe is actually a bit of a dick a lot of the time - but in a realistic way and one where you can actually understand why the heroine forgives him those moments. I liked the further insights into Dev.. now I'm REALLY looking forward to hearing his story. I'm glad I persevered and read this one. Much much better than the first. Not loving the covers on this series though - the guys just don't fit the descriptions.

Review: Moonlight Seduction is the second book in the "de Vincent" series. It's a fairly good read, but not as compelling as the first one. Gabe is the second oldest of the de Vincent brothers. Nikky/Nic is a good friend who left to go to college when she was eighteen. The last time that they saw each other wasn't their best moment, to say the least. She is all grown up and still apprehensive about seeing Gabe again. Her mother is ill and she is standing in for her at the de Vincent mansion. After what happened before she left, can they rekindle their friendship? Gabe's treatment of Nic is harsh to begin with and it takes forever to admit to how he really feels. Nic still has stars in her eyes when it comes to him, even though he can be very hurtful. He is holding on to a secret which could destroy them. It's slow at first, but gradually builds up until everything happens at once towards the end. It has a little of everything. It ends on a satisfying note. It looks as though Dev is next and I will indulge to see how his story goes.
