Review: After finishing Nichijou the anime, I was feeling almost depressed that there weren't any more episodes to watch. It felt almost like not being able to see a group of friends anymore. After browsing some forums, I discovered that the manga actually continues past he anime at around volume 8, which made me very happy, so I immediately picked it up. What I got was a mostly enjoyable experience, but the source material wasn't exactly what I was expecting in all regards. The manga is definitely not as fine-tuned as the anime in terms of consistent quality of art and delivery of the jokes. There are moments of pure comedic genius that had me laughing until my sides hurt, but then there are other moments that fall a bit flat or are just confusing and not conveyed as well as it could have been. That being said, the characters are all here, and if you felt an attachment to them like I did, it feels like seeing old friends again, albeit in a different venue from what I'm used to.
