Review: My child loves this book. I usually read it (as apparently many other people do) using a deep voice for the Panda. My child cracks up every time, and even imitates it. It is excellent to teach them they have to use the word "please" when they want something, and little by little the message is sticking. The doughnuts make the images so colourful and I love the illustrations. I also love the fact that there is a lemur in the book, and is the animal who says 'please' and gets doughnuts from the Panda. I've told my child many times the name of the animal, and she can even recognise it in zoo leaflets or photo books, but my child keeps calling the lemur "doughnut" because of this book. I find it so cute. I have bought this book for relatives abroad and the children have love it too. So I would strongly recommend it if you are looking for a new book for a toddler. It arrived in one of those Amazon cardboard envelopes (well protected) and within the time expected, so to sum up, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Review: This is a beautifully-designed book, but I'm not sure how I feel about it for teaching manners. The panda is very rude, offering donuts and then refusing to give them to the other animals. Of course they are treated this way because they don't say please. My two year old is probably too young for this book and it's done nothing for teaching him to say please. I probably would have rated this book more highly if he was actually interested in it. Unfortunately he doesn't even like to sit through it.
