Review: I thought this was a wonderful story, blending a rollercoaster ride through south American geography, culture and history, lightweight enough to romp through, yet will always be remembered, with great warmth. Some great insights, splendid home spun, yet digestible wisdom...and fine romantic touches.....A lightweight readable and memorable tale....a touch of Herman Hess, Marquez and Borges....

Review: I first bought this kindle book in 2016,looking forward to completing the Del Valle history I had enjoyed in House Of The Spirits and Daughter Of Fortune.About half way through I became disinterested in the narrative and gave up Recently I decided to give it another chance and began again .I did complete ,but it was a struggle to keep going..The monologue style and failure to really bring the characters to life failed to hold my interest..Paulina had become a caricature, maybe the author should have left this saga at two..there is just not enough material left to justify this addition.
