Review: This gives an insight into the REAL Edinburgh and ,makes the Rebus novels come alive even more. Having read the Rebus novels with interest for years I was pleased to find some of my "imaginings" are real, according to this book. Although I am English, I have worked voluntarily in an English magistrates court, being the first person the accused meets when coming from the police station where they have been held after arrest - and attempted to make them stand up and speak up when in court. Not that I felt sympathy for most of them, knowing what "deeds" they had committed. I also got to iknow some of the detectives and could relate to Rebus in some ways.

Review: I have enjoyed reading the Rebus detective novels penned by Ian Rankin. This book is the perfect complement to that series as it gives much more information about Edinburgh and the locations featured in the Rebus novels.
