Review: Amazing book for a keen Gardner. A word of warning this book is very heavy and if you buying this for an elderly relative bear this in mind.

Review: The best I can say is that the big opus came in a closed box with a rope for better handling and not in a slip case. Such a bulky item asks for careful handling. Imagine what could happen when you let drop a weight of 5,3 kg on your feet. For practical use: forget it ! This one tome reference book is far too bulky for everyday use. And there is nothing in it that you and I have not already read in other books before. And even in more detailed and concise presentation ! For a beginner in gardening it is sheer information overload. For a seasoned gardener it is a silly attempt to bring all and everything together in one single edition. The editors celebrated themselves. Let's hold it here. But you can bring it as a present to a housewarming party if you feel obliged to spend the money.
