Review: It's surprisngly hard to find out the difference between this (the SAS Survival Guide) and the similarly named SAS Survival Handbook. I have done the research and bought both versions, so settle in. This version (the guide) is about 300 pages shorter than the Handbook. It misses out some information such as urban self defense. My main gripe with this version of the guide though is that its printed entirely in black and white on novel style paper. The illustrations of edible and dangerous plants are in black and white and as such I didn't feel it'd be great to identify them should the situation arise. The handbook features these illustrations in colour. The handbook paper is also more smooth to the touch. The guide is lighter though and still contains most of the useful information, so may be handy for putting in a bag.
