Review: I didn't know what to expect from this book but it's a very simple story about lots of animals fitting in a car. Our daughter loves it. The book is split up into three sections, an introduction which gives parents ideas of what to do with their children while reading together, the main story and then some activities at the end. The main story is very picture heavy with not a lot of words and I think it is a good book for children learning to read but also those younger. Our daughter is 2 and she has been describing what all the animals are doing and what they are thinking and feeling, which is brilliant. All the illustrations are drawn nicely with bright and colourful cartoony images. This is very visual heavy, there are not many words on a page but the idea is you use the imagery to read interactively with your child and I found myself filling in the blanks and describing and talking about the scenes with her as well as reading the words. The language is simple and easy to understand. Our daughter loves this book she keeps bringing it to me and asking me to read it with her, on that score it is a win and it is also teaching in a very subtle way which I like too.

Review: This book is fun to read but it is very short, there isn't much of a narrative either. It does introduce the concept of capacity though. My son enjoyed the pictures and the animals but he didn't seem too taken with the book itself.
