Review: Rosemary Sutcliffe is the original capturer of time and place in her writings. Despite this being ostensibly for children, the depth of emotion, sacrifice and feelings the characters feel is so strong. I am back in the Bronze Age with these people.

Review: I am enjoying reading Rosemary Sutcliffe books with my daughter. She is an absolutely fantastic author. After purchase I usually read the books through myself for my own pleasure before sharing them. The book is well written as I expected but deals with the topic of human sacrifice and actually shows it in a positive light. I decided not to keep my copy and will not be sharing it with my children.
